GOD
There is one god,
existent in three persons - The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1: 1,14; John 14:16; Acts 1:8)
SCRIPTURES
The Bible, Old and
New Testaments are the divinely inspired and authoritative Word of
God; it is supreme and all sufficient in all matters of faith and
practice.
(2Tim 3:16-17)
THE GRACE OF GOD
God out of His love
for man gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be the Saviour of
sinners, and through the Gospel freely offers His all-sufficient
salvation to all men.
(John 3:16)
SIN AND REDEMPTION
Man was created good
and upright, in the likeness and image of God, but through his
voluntary disobedience he sinned, and now has as his only hope of
redemption, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Acts 4:12, John 3:3-5; Romans 3:23, 10:10)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit has
been sent from heaven to glorify Christ and to apply His work of
salvation. He convicts sinners, imparts spiritual life and gives a
true understanding of the Scriptures. He indwells all believers,
brings assurance of salvation and produces increasing likeness to
Christ. He builds up the church and empowers its members for
worship, service and world-wide proclamation of the Gospel in
obedience to the great commission.
(1Cor 12:3-13; Acts 1:4-8; Mark 16:17-18; Eph 4:11-13)
THE RESURRECTION
The bodily
resurraction is for all men - for the believer to live eternally
with God in a place prepared for them called heaven; for the
unbeliever to live eternally separated from God in hell, a place
prepared for Satan and his demons.
(1Thes 4:16-17; Rev 20:14; Rev 21:1; 2Pet 4)
